The Indian Coast Guard (Ministry of Defence), through the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), has officially invited online applications for the Coast Guard Enrolled Persons Test (CGEPT) for Batches 01/2027 and 02/2027. A total of 365 vacancies have been announced for the recruitment of nonofficer personnel across maritime stations in India.

Recruitment Highlights

Selected candidates will serve in India's coastal security forces under the Ministry of Defence, safeguarding maritime borders, enforcing marine laws, and conducting search and rescue operations.

Pay Scales: Navik (GD), Navik (DB), and Hygienist-I posts fall under Pay Level-3 (Basic Pay Rs. 21,700 per month, approx. gross salary Rs. 28,000–Rs. 38,000). Yantrik positions are placed in Pay Level-5 (Basic Pay Rs. 29,200 plus Rs. 6,200 Yantrik Pay, approx. gross salary Rs. 38,000–Rs. 48,000) along with Dearness Allowance and military allowances.
Perks & Benefits: Free ration, armed forces medical care for self and family, government accommodation or HRA, CSD canteen facilities, and an insurance cover of Rs. 75 lakh under NGIF.
Reservation: Categorywise relaxations and seat allocations are provided for SC, ST, OBC, and EWS candidates as per Central Government norms.
