Recruitment Overview & Background

The National Defence Academy (NDA) examination is conducted twice a year by UPSC for admission into the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the NDA, as well as the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme of the Indian Naval Academy (INA). Selected candidates undergo rigorous academic and physical training at NDA Khadakwasla, Pune, or INA Ezhimala before being commissioned as officers into the Indian Armed Forces.
