National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially commenced the Online Counselling Process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test [NEET (UG) - 2026]. NEET UG is India's premier single-window entrance examination conducted for candidates seeking admission to undergraduate medical courses including MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, BHMS, and other allied medical courses across top government and private medical institutes nationwide.
Key Overview & Highlights of NEET UG 2026
The NEET UG 2026 registration commenced on 08 February 2026 and was extended up to 11 March 2026. Following the initial examination held on 03 May 2026, which was subsequently cancelled, a re-examination was successfully organized on 21 June 2026 across various designated exam centers nationwide. The re-exam result and final scorecards were declared on 16 July 2026. Candidates who qualified the entrance examination based on their All India Rank (AIR), percentile scores, and cutoff criteria are now eligible to participate in the online choice filling and counselling rounds commencing from 05 August 2026 via the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and respective state entrance authorities.
