The Local Self Government Department, Rajasthan (LSG) has released the official recruitment notification (Advt. No. 01/2026) for the post of Safai Karmchari across various urban local bodies (ULBs) and municipalities in Rajasthan. This mega recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 24,752 vacancies in both NonTSP and TSP areas. Candidates possessing the required domicile and minimum 1 year of work experience in sanitation or cleaning tasks are eligible to submit their application form online.

Recruitment Overview & Scale

The Local Self Government Department oversees urban municipal administration across Rajasthan. This recruitment is intended to bolster sanitation services across all municipal corporations, councils, and boards. Out of 24,752 posts, 24,277 posts are allotted to the NonTSP area and 475 posts are earmarked for the TSP area. Selected candidates will be posted in various municipal bodies as per government norms.

Pay Scale & Salary Structure

Appointed candidates will be placed under the standard Rajasthan State Government Pay Matrix for Safai Karmchari posts (Pay Matrix Level L-1). During the initial probation period of 2 years, candidates will receive a fixed monthly stipend as per state government rules. Upon successful completion of probation, regular pay, grade pay, Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other benefits will be provided.

General Conditions & Domicile

To be eligible for appointment, applicants must be permanent residents (domicile) of Rajasthan State and must produce a valid 1year experience certificate from a recognized authority, contractor, or municipal body certifying their work as a Safai Karmchari.
