SSC CPO SI CAPF Recruitment 2026 - Comprehensive Notification Overview

- SubInspector (Executive) in Delhi Police (Male/Female): Classified as a Group 'C' (NonGazetted) post. Placed in Level 6 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix with a Basic Pay scale ranging from Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400. The estimated initial gross monthly salary in Delhi (Class X City) ranges between Rs. 65,000 and Rs. 75,000, inclusive of Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA @ 30%), Transport Allowance (TA), and uniform maintenance allowances.
- SubInspector (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs): Classified as a Group 'B' (NonGazetted, NonMinisterial) post. Placed in Level 6 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix (Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400). Appointees receive Basic Pay plus DA, HRA or RentFree Accommodation, Field Allowance, Hardship/Risk Allowance (based on posting location), Ration Money Allowance (RMA), and free medical facilities under the CAPF healthcare scheme. Estimated starting gross monthly salary ranges between Rs. 60,000 and Rs. 78,000.
Job Profile, Duties, and Service Career Path
SubInspectors in Delhi Police maintain public law and order, conduct criminal investigations, execute beat patrolling, manage police stations, handle antiterror operations, and secure key government installations in the capital. SubInspectors in CAPFs are deployed across international border posts, counterinsurgency operational zones, antiNaxal sectors, and highaltitude border security outposts. Officers have clear progression pathways to become Inspector, Assistant Commandant (AC), Deputy Commandant (DC), and higher leadership cadres through internal promotional examinations and senioritycumfitness assessments.
