The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has published an official employment notification (Advt. No. 06/2026) for the direct recruitment of Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) across secondary education institutions and intermediate colleges in Uttar Pradesh. This statelevel recruitment drive invites online applications from qualified postgraduates to fill a total of 2,607 vacancies across various arts, science, languages, and commerce subjects.

Appointed candidates will receive a respectable salary under the Uttar Pradesh state government pay structure corresponding to the Pay Matrix Level-8 (Prerevised Pay Scale ₹9,300 - ₹34,800 with Grade Pay ₹4,800), offering an estimated initial gross monthly remuneration of ₹47,600 to ₹1,51,100 along with applicable Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance, and comprehensive medical benefits under standard UP state service rules.

The postings will be allotted in aided secondary and intermediate schools across various commission zones in Uttar Pradesh. Reservation benefits including age relaxation and quota preferences strictly follow the government guidelines of Uttar Pradesh, applicable exclusively to bona fide domiciled candidates of UP.
